I'm looking for research internships for Summer 2027 in LLM reasoning, evaluation, or alignment. My CV is here. If you think there's a fit, please email me.

About

I am a PhD student in Natural Language Processing at the University of Edinburgh (Sept 2025 - present) working under the supervision of Björn Ross, Emily Allaway, and Ivan Titov. I research how language models encode and represent generalizations in language (e.g., "PhD students are curious"), with application areas including detecting stereotypes (generalizations about groups of people) and exaggerated claims in scientific communication.

Before my PhD, I worked as a software engineer with Amazon's Alexa Speech team in Cambridge, UK (2022-2025). I have a Masters in Speech and Language Processing from the University of Edinburgh (2021-2022) and a Bachelors in Mathematics and Computer Science (minor in Linguistics) from the University of Maryland, College Park (2017-2021).
